STATE COLLEGE, PA (November 12, 2008)-Today Shaner Hotels announced the hiring of State College attorney James Connelly to fill the role of Director of Risk Management at the company's headquarters on Waddle Road.

Connelly comes to Shaner from a 20-year career in law, practicing first as a trial lawyer in Philadelphia and then working with a local State College law firm advising business owners on identifying risk exposures. Jim has background in workers compensation, employee benefits, liability and compliance with OSHA safety requirements.

Recognized by Law & Politics Magazine as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2007 and 2008, Connelly received his B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and earned his J.D. from Temple University School of Law.
