STATE COLLEGE, PA (July 14, 2008)-Shaner Hotel Group has announced that its Holiday Inn Augusta-Gordon Highway, located in Augusta, Georgia has won three separate awards from InterContinental Hotels Group for enhancements to guest service and business improvement.
The property was recognized for excellence during the period spanning 2007-2008 by IHG’s Hotel Performance Support organization for: Most Improved Overall Satisfaction Score (OSAT); Top Overall Satisfaction Score in its region, which includes all of the states of NC, SC, GA as well as northern FL; and Most Improved RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room).
“We’re experiencing outstanding results coming out of a comprehensive renovation of our facilities, including upgraded public spaces, guestrooms, soft goods and furnishings,” said Patricia Turner, Director of Sales for the Holiday Inn Augusta-Gordon Highway. “The most important new benefit to our guests, however, is that an extended full American buffet breakfast is now included at no additional charge with all room rates. Combined with our staff’s long-standing reputation in Augusta for warm, Southern hospitality, this has enabled us to attract guests who appreciate the amenities offered by a full service hotel, but at a value more representative of our select service hotel competitors.”
Located at 2155 Gordon Highway, at the intersection of I-520 (Bobby Jones Expressway), the Holiday Inn Augusta-Gordon Highway is the nearest full service hotel to the Main Gate of Fort Gordon U.S. Army Base.
Shaner is also in pre-development for a new, select service Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott, directly adjacent to the Holiday Inn.
