STATE COLLEGE, PA (November 12, 2008)-Today Shaner Hotels announced SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn staff in State College earned high marks for Guest Service. SpringHill Suites received a Marriott Gold Award and Fairfield Inn received a Platinum Award for excellent performance on January through June Guest Services Survey results. Both hotels were named among "the best of the best" and are part of the Shaner Hotels family of hotel properties.
"We are proud to receive this award," says SpringHill Suites General Manager Yasser Hassan, noting that his staff focuses on these scores daily by reviewing guest cards and charting their progress in the office. "We believe our high service level brings us more customers and those customers continue to come back."
Both SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn collect guest service surveys (GSS) all year and twice per year its hotels can be awarded for high achievement on GSS scores. The Gold Award recognizes guest satisfaction ratings between 91% and 93%, while the Platinum Award recognizes achievement greater than 93%.
