Our Corporate Risk Managers identify, minimize and/or eliminate risk by working closely with the top brokers in the country to ensure a comprehensive insurance placement that anticipates possible risks while remaining in full compliance with all lender, franchise, regulatory and management agreements.
Our Risk Management Team is responsible for filing and managing all insurance claims, monitoring claims daily and communicating with insurance adjusters, medical providers and legal counsel to resolve open claims. We provide continuous hands-on support to the field to effectively address any guest or employee incidents as they occur. Additionally, our Risk Managers handle all insurance and safety issues throughout the company for the purpose of eliminating as much exposure to lawsuits and insurance claims as possible.

Shaner Hotels' Accounting Team, which consists of a staff of approximately 60 people, provides full back-office support for all the hotels within our owned and managed portfolios. Our central services include centralized accounts payables, financial statement preparation and reporting, cash management, budgeting and forecasting, sale and use tax reporting and assistance with any day-to-day reporting or analytic ad-hoc requests as needed.
Financial Guidance for Shaner Divisions & VenturesIn addition to hospitality accounting, our Accounting Team provides guidance and financial accounting support to Shaner Capital, Shaner Growth Funds and other Shaner ventures. These commercial investments include businesses in the water treatment field, electrical contracting and industrial facility redevelopment.
