An exciting new hotel project is taking shape in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania!
Lance Shaner, Chairman & CEO, Plato Ghinos, President, and Derrick Skillings, Chief Investment Officer, at Shaner Hotels, recently joined Harristown Enterprises Inc. President & CEO Bradley Jones, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and other local and state officials for the announcement of a new hotel development in Harrisburg.
Shaner Hotels is partnering with Harristown Enterprises Inc. to transform an existing office building into a new 130-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel. The project represents an opportunity to repurpose an existing property while bringing a new Marriott-branded hotel to the Harrisburg market.
Harristown Enterprises Inc. has played an important role in the development and revitalization of downtown Harrisburg for decades, with a focus on creating and managing properties that contribute to the city’s growth and economic vitality. The partnership brings together Harristown’s local development experience with Shaner’s expertise in hotel development, management, and operations.
For Shaner, the project adds to the company’s continued investment and development throughout Pennsylvania. With their headquarters in State College and an established presence across the Commonwealth, Shaner has a long history of developing and operating Marriott-branded hotels throughout the region.

The proposed hotel is currently awaiting final approval from Marriott International. As the project moves through the final approval process, Shaner and Harristown look forward to taking the next steps toward transforming the existing office building into a new hotel and adding another destination for business and leisure travelers visiting Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
